CHANCE THE RAPPER ANNOUNCED AS HOST OF PUNK’D REBOOT

Forthcoming short-form content streaming service Quibi has found a new famous host to terrorize celebrities on the reboot of MTV’s Punk’d.

Grammy-winner Chance the Rapper will be filling Ashton Kutcher‘s shoes almost two decades after the That ’70s Show actor began pranking unsuspecting stars like Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, and Elijah Wood. (Punk’d ran on MTV from 2003–2015.)

“Punk’d is one of MTV’s most iconic franchises,” the “Hot Shower” rapper stated, as part of the announcement. “I grew up watching this show and it’s surreal to be in the driver’s seat this time around on Quibi.”

Chance the Rapper’s Punk’d appointment comes on the heels of the announcement that actress Keke Palmer and comedian Joel Kim Booster are hosting a reboot of Singled Out that will also be on Quibi. Both projects are produced in partnership with MTV Studios and will be reimagined to fit the mobile video platform.

No word yet on the premiere date of Punk’d, but watch the teaser above to see the host’s first mark, rapper Megan Thee Stallion. Quibi launches on April 6, 2020.
