According to a new report from Variety, the cast of Community will reunite for a virtual table read. The popular sitcom, which followed a quirky study group at the fictional Greendale Community College, ran for six seasons before coming to an end back in 2015. The virtual table read will also include a fan Q&A will be live streamed on the Community YouTube channel.
Fans of the show will be excited to hear that almost the entire original cast will be participating. Even though Donald Glover left the show in the fifth season, he will be reprising his role as Troy Barnes for the table read. Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong and series creator Dan Harmon will also take part in the special event. They will be doing a read of the episode “Cooperative Polygraphy” from Community’s fifth season
In addition to reuniting the original cast, the live stream will raise money for José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and Frontline Foods amidst their COVID-19 relief efforts. The table read will take place on May 18th at 5PM ET. Will you be tuning in?
