The nominees for this year’s “American Music Awards” were announced yesterday, and Drake leads the pack with 13 nominations. That’s a new record, surpassing the 11 that Michael Jackson got in 1984.

Drake was nominated in basically every category, including Artist of the Year, Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Album, Favorite Rap Artist, Favorite Rap Song, and Favorite R&B song. Interestingly, Drake has never won at the “AMAs”, despite nine nominations over the years. Something tells me that’ll change this time.

Rihanna had the second-most with seven, and Adele and Justin Bieber both scored five. They’re all up for Artist of the Year, along with Drake, Beyoncé, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Twenty One Pilots, Carrie Underwood, and The Weeknd.

ABC will air the ceremony live from Los Angeles on Sunday, November 20th. There’s no word on a host yet. You can find ALL the nominees at TheAMAs.com.
