Emma Watson is a hero to millions thanks to the “Harry Potter” movies. And she’s only going to get bigger with “Beauty and the Beast”. But one thing she won’t do for her millions of fans is take selfies.
She told “Vanity Fair”, quote, “For me, it’s the difference between being able to have a life and not. If someone takes a photograph of me and posts it, within two seconds they’ve created a marker of exactly where I am within 10 meters.
“They can see what I’m wearing and who I’m with. I just can’t give that tracking data.”
That doesn’t mean she’ll ignore you, though. Even though she won’t take a picture, she’s often willing to, quote, “sit here and answer every single ‘Harry Potter’ fandom question you have.”
With adults, she’ll pick and choose who she interacts with, but she says, quote, “Children I don’t say no to.”
