“Billboard” says Frank Ocean’s “Endless” and “Blonde” won’t be eligible for any Grammys, even though they came out before the September 30th cut-off, because they weren’t submitted before the filing deadline.
Universal Music would’ve been responsible for submitting “Endless” . . . while Frank’s own label ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ would’ve handled “Blonde”. It’s unclear whether these were last-minute oversights that got lost in the madness, or if they were intentionally held out for some reason.
