Growing up with an aspiring musician for a father, “A-Train” has been around music since early childhood.
A-Train, a bi-lingual radio personality, and graduate of Texas A&M International University, is a big supporter of the arts, radio, television, and film. With the support of his family, A-Train’s passion for music drove him to become a mobile disc jockey at a very young age. By the time high school came along, he followed in his father’s foot-steps and became an award winning percussionist in the marching band. It was not until college however and after being turned-down by countless music programmers, that he strongly pursued a career in radio eventually landing a part-time gig. The rest, as they say is history.
His love for music continues to grow as he now programs (3) of R-Communications top rated stations and manages to execute a full time air shift. Since taking over afternoon drive in the fall of 2002, A-Train has maintained stellar ratings and currently holds the number one show, 3pm-7pm, in the Laredo market as the host of “The Afternoon Low-Down."
