Sam Smith Sets Release Date For New Album ‘To Die For,’ Promises We’ll ‘Dance and Relate’

Just one day after opening an actual wig shop in London, pop phenomenon Sam Smith is snatching their fans’ wigs yet again with a long-awaited announcement.

On Thursday (Feb. 13), Smith finally unveiled the release date and title of their long-awaited third studio album. In a tweet, they revealed that the album, titled To Die For, would be officially be arriving on May 1 via Capitol Records. The album will go on presale starting Friday, February 14.

In helping celebrate the news, Smith also shared what appears to be the albums cover art, featuring the star in full makeup, while their face is caressed on all sides by perfectly-manicured hands. “I‘m more proud of this album than anything I’ve ever done,” Smith wrote in their post.

“I’ve really set myself free the last two years whilst writing this & I hope you can dance and relate to these stories. It’s all for you, always.”
