That Guitar Riff in Demi Lovato’s ‘Solo’ Isn’t What You Think It Is

Despite her “shh” look on the Here We Go Again album cover from 2009, Demi Lovato let her lips loose to reveal a fun fact about her song “Solo.”

“At 16 I taught my little sister @maddelagarza to say ‘What’s up my bi—es?!’ and recorded her saying it… my producer thought it was hilarious and buried it in the music,” Lovato wrote on her Instagram story with a screen recording that played the song’s first couple of seconds. “So what sounds like a guitar riff is actually little Juanita from desperate housewives cursing on my song.”

Lovato’s now 18-year-old sister Madison De La Garza grew to fame after playing Juanita Solis, the daughter of Eva Longoria’s character, on Desperate Housewives from 2008 to 2012. But she had kept this cursing affair on the down-low for over 10 years. “I kept this secret for A DECADE,” she shared on her own Instagram story responding to Lovato. Looks like the young actress-turned-filmmaker was solo in taking this to the grave.

“You’re a real one,” the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer responded on her Instagram story with the fist bump and laughing face emojis.
