Happiness begins — even in a hospital bed. On Sunday (Sept. 1), the Jonas Brothers paid a surprise visit to a young fan battling cancer ahead of their show in Hershey, Penn.

A post by the fan, 16-year-old Lily Jordan, went viral earlier in the week when she revealed she had tickets to the band’s Happiness Begins Tour, but would be missing the show for chemotherapy treatment. “I was supposed to be at your Hershey concert tomorrow,” she wrote to the JoBros on Instagram, “but instead I’m across the street doing chemo. If y’all wanted to pop in, I’ll give you my room number.”

After bonding with Joe Jonas over their mutual love for Penn State athletics and meeting Nick’s wife Priyanka, the boys asked Jordan which Jonas Brothers song she’d like them to dedicate to her that night during the show. (She went with “S.O.S.”)

Following the visit, the teen posted a picture with the band, writing, “Wow. The power of social media you guys. YOU did this. YOU made my crappy chemo session into something incredibly special and unforgettable. Thank you thank you thank you @jonasbrothers for taking time out of your day to come pay me a visit. Literally made my life.”
