Billie Eilish Warns Not to Abuse ‘Your Power’ While Getting Squeezed by an Anaconda in New Video

Billie Eilish hisses at the abusive powers that be while suffering their wrath in the music video for her new single “Your Power,” which she released on Thursday (April 29).

Her fourth self-directed music video features the 19-year-old superstar all by her lonesome in California’s Simi Valley, where she condemns someone who has abused their power and hasn’t realized the repercussions of their actions in the folk-tinged melody. But Eilish has trouble feeling the full extent of her physical power when an 80-pound anaconda slowly wraps itself around her body, constricting her from movement, as she sings, “Does it keep you in control?/ For you to keep her in a cage?”

“This is one of my favorite songs i’ve ever written. i feel very vulnerable putting this one out because i hold it so close to my heart,” she wrote on Instagram. “this is about many different situations that we’ve all either witnessed or experienced. i hope this can inspire change. try not to abuse your power.”

“Your Power” is the third single from her upcoming sophomore album, Happier Than Ever, which is due July 30 via Darkroom and Interscope Records. Previously released singles “Therefore I Am” and “My Future,” which respectively peaked at No. 2 and No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, will also be featured on the 16-song project.
