DONALD GLOVER EXPLAINS WHY CANCEL CULTURE MADE ART ‘BORING’

Cancel culture is alive and well. Some fall victim to it while others beg for it. Regardless of your preference, Donald Glover (also known as Childish Gambino) has a message on how cancel culture is stifling art.

Glover explains, “saw people on here havin a discussion about how tired they were of reviewing boring stuff (tv & film). We’re getting boring stuff and not even experimental mistakes(?) because people are afraid of getting cancelled.”

The Atlanta star continued, “so they feel like they can only experiment w/ aesthetic. (also because some of em know they’re not that good).” Quite frankly, had cancel culture existed back in the day, many of your favorite shows and films would’ve been “cancelled.” However, that would’ve been based on plot and context, not aesthetics.

We’re very on board with the idea of bringing back “experimental mistakes” and while we’re at it, give us a premiere date for the next season of Atlanta.
