EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DMX’S POSTHUMOUS ALBUM, ‘EXODUS’

DMX’s posthumous album, Exodus is coming. Executively produced by Swizz Beatz, the album will mark X’s first solo release since 2012’s Undisputed.

In a press release, Swizz expressed, “my brother X was one of the most pure and rare souls I’ve ever met. He lived his life dedicated to his family and music. Most of all, he was generous with his giving and loved his fans beyond measure. This album, X couldn’t wait for his fans all around the world to hear and show just how much he valued each and every single person that has supported him unconditionally.”

The album shares a name with X’s young son and the cover art was done by famed photographer, Jonathan Mannion, who is behind several of X’s most iconic photos. Though a full tracklist hasn’t been announced, it was revealed that his 8-year-old daughter, Sonovah Hillman Jr. will be featured on two tracks.

Young Sonovah also performed at her late father’s Celebration of Life ceremony held at the Barclays Center. She is fully following in X’s footsteps and has already released some original music.

During his last interview with Drink Champs, X revealed some features including Pop Smoke, Lil Wayne, Bono and Griselda. The album will be available everywhere on May 28 via Def Jam. X died on April 9 at the age of 50.
