Imagine Dragons Return With Two Tracks: Watch the Video For ‘Follow You’

Actors Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson star in the new ‘Follow You’ video.

Imagine Dragons swoop in with their first new music in two years.

The alternative rock outfit dropped the two-pack of “Follow You” and “Cutthroat,” their first release since 2019. The group then released the official music video for “Follow You” on Tuesday (March 16). Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson make appearances in the visual, which was shot inside The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

The tracks are expected to appear on Imagine Dragons’ forthcoming fifth studio album.

Frontman Dan Reynolds gave fans some background on the new recordings. “I’ve been working on this album with the guys for the last three years and feel both excited and anxious for their release,” he wrote in a Twitter post.

“Follow You,” he explained, is a song about “loyalty and love.” Its b-side “Cutthroat” is “the opposite side of the record, both sonically and thematically. It’s an exorcism of self-pity,” he said.

The as-yet-untitled album will be the followup to 2018’s Origins, which hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
