Mac Miller’s Team to Release Project Celebrating His Music, Set Phone Number for Fans to Call

Two years after Mac Miller’s untimely death, fans are still devoted to his music. As a result, Warner Records announced on Tuesday (July 21) that an “untitled project” is in the works.

“Mac Miller’s team is working on an untitled project to celebrate Malcolm and his music,” the statement shared to social media reads. “His art touched so many lives, in so many ways.”

Additionally, the statement revealed that a “toll-free phone number has been set up to collect your stories, thoughts and wishes as part of this project. Your offerings are deeply appreciated.”

Fans who would like to participate can sign up here.

The project would be Mac’s second posthumous release. In January 2020, Circles arrived as a counterpart to 2018’s Swimming. The album was completed with producer Jon Brion, who also worked on Swimming and was involved with the Circles sessions at the time of Miller’s death.

The rapper, born Malcolm McCormick, died on September 7, 2018 from an accidental drug overdose at age 26.
