MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY REVEALS HE WANTS ‘8 MORE KIDS’

Matthew McConaughey and wife, Camila Alves, already have a full house, but the actor’s not opposed to having more children.

The father of three was a panelist at a HISTORYTalks: Leadership and Legacy event on Saturday and revealed he’d like to add to his clan significantly.

“I’d like to have eight more kids,” he said.

However, that doesn’t seem likely anytime in the near future as the “Serenity” actor also revealed, “My wife’s not on the same page,” according to the Today Show.

While McConaughey would love to expand his brood some more, he clarified that he’s well aware that “wanting” children is the easy part.

He also acknowledged that many of the responsibilities, including the physical part, fall on the mother, adding, “I understand. It’s lot easier for us (guys.)”

The 50-year-old called his three children with Alves – two sons, Levi (11) and Livingston (7), and daughter, Vida – his “living legacy.”

“I remember at 8 years old, it’s really the only thing I ever knew I wanted to be was a dad,” he explained of his desire to become a parent.

“I’ve got a large hand in shepherding my three children up until they’re 18 and out of the house. … That’s the thing I think I do most honorably is having three autonomous, conscientious, confident children,” he revealed.

He even explained that becoming a father changed his outlook on his career.

“I looked up and started to say … you know what, I just had a son. I said, the character I am in my life, the man I am in my life, the story I’m living is more violent than the characters in the stories that I feel like I’m playing in some of these romantic comedies. So, I took off in kind of an un-branding phase. Not a rebranding phase, an un-branding phase,” the “True Detective” star revealed.
