There Is a Lot Going On in the Video For Major Lazer’s New Sia & Labrinth Collab ‘Titans’

OK, start with a spaceship throttling toward Earth, then add two Godzilla vs. Kong-style monsters and now enter everyone’s favorite fictitious ranking music monger, Major Lazer, who gets bumped off the planet and into other realms of the solar systems, where he meets Sia and Labrinth (in the form of Baby Yoda-style puppets) before being captured by a sort of trippy velociraptor lady then playing whack-a-mole with some oversized cosmic eggs.

You follow? Kind of?

That’s the general storyline of the new music video for Major Lazer’s “Titans” featuring Sia and Labrinth. The duo, who’ve worked extensively with Major Lazer leader Diplo as the psychedelic trio LSD, are featured on the new track, which comes from Music Is the Weapon (Reloaded), a recently released expanded version of Major Lazer’s 2020 LP, Music Is the Weapon.

The video — which continues with Major Lazer trekking into a cave, where a cave painting of Baby Yoda Sia comes to life and leads him into an animated adventure — was directed by frequent LSD collaborator Ernest Desumbila. Watch the clip below.
