Tyler, the Creator Shares ‘Lumberjack’ Song & Video

Tyler, the Creator is back with another creation: his new “Lumberjack” music video.

The visual premiered Wednesday (June 16) and opens with Tyler enjoying a snack in bed as he peruses a magazine.

He soon receives a phone call that leads him to jump out of bed. That’s when Tyler begins rapping, “N—as ain’t really on the type of sh– he on/ I hit Drizzy and told him I had a milli for him/ I own my companies full, told ’em to keep the loan/ I took the gold bi— home, n—as is big mad/ I put that bi— on the shelf to let it ventilate/ And bought another car ’cause I ain’t know how to celebrate/ That big boy, that big bi— for all weather/ It never rain in Cali, came with an umbrella.”

At one point in the video, Tyler happily receives a manicure and shares laughs with his nail tech. He later sports a tuxedo, complete with face prosthetics.

The video closes with Tyler trapped in a blizzard, rapping, “Used to laugh at me, listen to me with their ears closed/ Used to treat me like that boy from Malcolm in the Middle/ Now I’m zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero.”

Fans believe “Lumberjack” will appear on Tyler, the Creator’s sixth studio album, which is rumored to be titled Call Me If You Get Lost — the same words that appear at the conclusion of the new music video.

Tyler’s fifth studio album, Igor, was released in 2019 and featured fan-favorite tracks including “Earfquake,” which peaked at No. 13 on the Hot 100 chart. Tyler’s Igor won the Grammy for best rap album in 2020 and topped the Billboard 200 albums chart, where it charted for 90 weeks.
