Adele Posts New Pic For Her Birthday, Pays Tribute to COVID-19 Fighters

It’s Adele’s birthday and everyone gets a present!

The superstar British singer returned to social media by posting a b’day picture of herself looking trim and terrific in a full black dress.

“Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time,” she writes.

The “Skyfall” singer also paid tribute to those at the frontline in the fight against COVID-19. “I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels.”

Its Adele’s first post on Instagram since a pre-Christmas 2019 snap with the Grinch, with Big Ben and the Thames filling the background.

Adele turned 32 on Tuesday (May 5), safe in the knowledge that she’s one of the biggest stars of her generation. The Londoner’s three studio albums 2008’s 19, 2011’s 21 and 2015’s 25 made Adele a household name across the globe, and her collection of Grammys, Oscars and multi-platinum records are the stuff of dreams.

A year earlier, on her 31st birthday, she took to Instagram to post a series of snaps of herself celebrating and writing. “31 is going to be a big ol’ year and I’m going to spend it all on myself,” the Brit wrote at the time.

Though she has teased it, there’s no word yet on when the followup to 25 will drop. Adele has said in the past, however, that she’ll quit naming her albums after her age.
