THE OBAMAS TO HEADLINE YOUTUBE VIRTUAL GRADUATION CEREMONY WITH LADY GAGA, BTS & MORE

While seniors around the country are getting ready to say goodbye to high school and college in a way that they could’ve never imagined due to the coronavirus pandemic, YouTube is giving them a chance to have the commencement they’ve always dreamed of.

The streaming platform has announced a brand new event, Dear Class of 2020, in honor of the current graduating class. President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, BTS, Lady Gaga, Former Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Malala Yousafzai will all be giving speeches for the big event.

Afterwards, BTS and several other artists will be coming together to throw the ultimate after party with special performances.

Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Kerry Washington, Chloe x Halle, Zendaya, along with YouTube creators Jackie Aina, AsapSCIENCE, Dude Perfect, Zane Hijazi, Heath Hussar, Mr. Kate, and The Try Guys will also be making appearances through the event.

YouTube will be airing the livestream on June 6 starting at 12 PM PT/3 PM ET. The full list of events for the day will be announced on May 17.
